Correct action under extreme conditions requires effective training and suitable tools. Especially in special operations, these two factors can make the difference between life and death. Mission reports from military and police experts have convinced designer Dietmar Pohl to choose a dagger blade shape for this special mission knife. The advantages are literally obvious: under stress, the user does not have to worry about where the sharp side of the blade is. Fractions of a second decide. Furthermore, a dagger blade can be used to cut in a pulling or pushing motion. The hand guard, which is pronounced on both sides, was deliberately designed at right angles to provide optimum protection for the hand (hammer grip position). The 10.5 cm long handle is ideally suited for use with gloves. To ensure optimum grip safety, Eickhorn chose G-10 scales with a Rough Grip surface for the S.E.K.. Three large holes in the handle not only increase grip safety, but also give the knife the necessary weighting. Two smaller holes at the end of the handle are used to attach a safety lanyard. Aggressive salt water places very special demands on steel blades, especially in terms of their resistance to corrosion. In order to be able to use the S.E.K. for special maritime tasks, the entire surface has been given an extremely resistant DLC carbon coating (Diamond-Like-Carbon). The partial serrated edge makes short work of ropes and fishing nets. A Cordura sheath in the colors black or flecktarn with plastic insert allows variable attachment options.
